Meet Betelgeuse...my father's Jacob ram. He and his family help provide us with wonderful colored and white wool. The Jacob sheep is an ancient breed and gets its name from the story in the Bible about Jacob and his father-in-law, Laban. Check out the book of Genesis. You will notice that Betelgeuse has four horns...that's right, four. Jacob's are one of the breeds which are polycerate, meany "many horned".
I am so excited to announce the birth of the printing division of Crochet Renee', which I am calling Hephzibah Press. Hephzibah is the Hebrew word for "My delight is in her". You can check it out in Isaiah, chapter 62. I was led to choose this name because I felt God leading me to acknowledge His hand in my recent success with designing as well as gifting me with the talent to create original designs. I also feel that he delights in my using these gifts, and so the name just seems to fit!
Hephzibah Press will be a craft publisher primarily with a possibility of branching out into cookbooks at a later time. The first book will hopefully be available on Amazon before the end of the year and is a crochet book. Check back here for updates!
